Rapids Midfielder Colin Clark Tears His ACL

Horrible news for the Colorado Rapids. Midfielder Colin Clark found out today that he has torn his ACL ligament in his left knee and will miss the rest of the 2010 MLS season. The injury happened in the 55th minute last Saturday at Dick Sporting Goods Park as the Rapids beat San Jose 1-0. This is Clark's second tear in that knee in the last two years. After the last injury he completed his recovery in five months, earning a start in Colorado's first game of the 2010 season.

For his part, Clark has taken the news in stride.

"It's all part of the sport, and something that I've been through, so I know what it's going to take to get back," said Clark. "This is something that I came back from before so it's definitely something I'll come back from again."

Disappointing news, but hopefully Clark and the Rapids can both recover as quickly as possible.
