Because of all the injuries to the Broncos running backs, it appears as if Lance Ball will be in the backfield when the team takes the field on Sunday. Via the Denver Post:
With Moreno definitely out against the Bengals, and Buckhalter and White unlikely to play, the Broncos are expected to start Ball, who spent most of his first two NFL seasons on practice squads for St. Louis, Indianapolis, Tennessee and Denver.
If this were the regular season opener in September, I’d be worried. But for now it’s not a big deal.
