Peaks & Valleys - July 6 - Melo's Extension

As Matt pondered yesterday, the start of July is a dry time for Denver sports right now. The Rockies had an off-day yesterday, the Avs haven't done anything in free agency, the Broncos are a few weeks away from training camp, and the Rapids don't play for another few days.

I hope you've all been following the Melo Contract Extension StoryStream. In what qualifies as yesterday's peak, it looks more and more likely that Carmelo Anthony will accept the Nuggets' extension offer of three years, $65 million. Plus, the guy is getting married in a few days. It's a good time to be Melo (well, it's also a good time to be an NBA free agent what with all the rumors and money flying around).
