Hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July, and if extends into today all the better! After that epic 15-inning game by the Rockies, we all need Monday to recover.
↵Peaks
↵-Rockies win in 15 innings.
↵-Dexter Fowler can fly. Wow, he reached base seven times through a combination of a single, two triples, and four walks. To cap it all off, his triple in the bottom of the 15th set him up to be driven in on a sac fly by Todd Helton.
↵-Ubaldo Jimenez and Troy Tulowitzki made the NL All-Star team, though Tulowitzki will be sidelined due to his broken wrist.
↵-Carlos Gonzalez can still make the NL All-Star team if you vote him in. VOTE NOW, VOTE OFTEN!
↵Level Ground
↵-The Colorado Rapids tied 1-1 with the New York Red Bulls. Be sure to read the game recap.
↵Valleys
↵-The Rockies game went far too long because the Rockies couldn't drive men across home plate. The Rockies received too many chances and didn't seize them. But, hey, they eventually came through in the 15th.
↵-How was Miguel Olivo left off the All-Star roster?
↵-This one really comes down to your perspective, but the Avs are not a player for the services of Ilya Kovalchuk.
↵On Tap For Today
↵-It's an off-day for Denver sports.
