Jhoulys Chacin (5-7) won for just the third time in his last 10 starts as the 22-year-old right-hander surrendered five hits and three runs over six innings. Huston Street retired the side in order in the ninth for his second save.
Dexter Fowler tripled among his three hits, walked twice, drove in a run and scored once for the Rockies, who won for the fourth time in five games.
Tim Lincecum (8-4) gave up nine hits and four runs over six frames and lost his second straight start.
Aubrey Huff smacked a pair of homers and drove in all three runs for the Giants, who lost their season-high seventh straight contest.
