How Long Until Tim Tebow Has Highest-Selling Shoes?

New, 3 comments

We already know that Broncos' rookie QB Tim Tebow has the highest-selling jersey in the league, so how long until he has the highest-selling shoes? Tebow and Nike unveiled promotional shots of the shoes earlier this week, though it will be a couple of weeks before the shoes go on sale. The shoes are in the color scheme of the Florida Gators and will have writing on them, the Denver Post reports:

One shoe will have "Promise" stitched on the heel, a reference to Tebow's impassioned speech after a loss to Mississippi in September 2008. That speech is inscribed on a plaque outside the Gators' football complex.

↵

Stitched on the heel of the other shoe will be the years Tebow reached major milestones in college football, such as the year he won the Heisman Trophy — 2007 — as well as the national titles and years he was named an All-American.

I want a pair. I think I'll also pick up his jersey later on this year. OK, maybe not the latter just quite yet, but those shoes do look nice. Shoes wear out and eventually need to be replaced. A jersey is something that should last forever, and I don't want a historical artifact hanging in my closet in case he flops (and who'd be interested in buying it?).

And in case anyone is wondering, we will be going into Tim Tebow high-gear once training camp starts because Tebow will draw the traffic here. Plain and simple. The Broncos will bring in huge amounts of traffic. Tim Tebow will bring in much more traffic as his fans search for info on him. Why would I want to stop them from coming here? Plus, I want the guy to succeed and don't have an aversion to him as many people seem to do.

Tim Tebow coverage starts . . . . soon.

(Peaks & Valleys will resume its regularly scheduled appearance tomorrow since the Rockies start the second-half of their season tonight).
