Rockies' manager Jim Tracy was born on December 31, 1955 in Hamilton, Ohio. He went on to play in the majors before settling into coaching. Despite his failure to win in Pittsburgh (who can win with the Pirates these days?), Tracy has done well for himself with the Dodgers and the Rockies.
↵According to the Hamilton Journal-News, his hometown wants to honor him by renaming a street Jim Tracy Way:
↵↵↵“Hamilton doesn’t name streets after people too often. But when we do it’s usually a person of great character. Joe Nuxall is one of those guys and Jim Tracy is certainly one of those guys,” Mayor Pat Moeller said.

The unveiling ceremony will take place this Thursday. Now people really can walk all over Jim Tracy.
