San Diego, CA (Sports Network) – Scott Hairston went 2-for-5 with four RBI as the San Diego Padres dominated the Colorado Rockies, 13-3, in the finale of a three-game set.
Jerry Hairston Jr. and Everth Cabrera each drove in two runs while Chris Denorfia scored three times for the Padres, who had dropped the first two games of this series.
Clayton Richard (6-4) went seven innings and was charged with just two runs on five hits with a walk and 10 strikeouts. He also drove in two runs in the victory.
Jonathan Herrera drove in two runs while Seth Smith added an RBI double for the Rockies, who have dropped three of their last five. Jeff Francis (2-3) was beat up for eight runs on seven hits with three walks in just three-plus innings of work.
