Even The French Don't Like The French?

For Colorado Rapids defender Julian Baudet this summer’s World Cup has been a rather unenjoyable affair. Baudet is French you see, and Les Bleus has easily been the biggest disappointment of the tournament so far. Not only for their play on the field, but for the pathetic behavior off it as well.

“How many millions of viewers saw the episode on the French training ground?” Baudet said. "We all are passionate about what we are doing, we all want to win, but you can’t be (revolting) on the field. Emotions boil over, we all understand that, but when you’re on the spot you need to remember, ’I’m being watched by millions of viewers.’ "

Luckily for us, the United States is alive and kicking entering the round of 16 and Baudet’s teammates are making sure to remind him as often as possible:

“All I know is, it’s so depressing, it’s so disappointing,” Baudet said, “and I got abused so much in the (Rapids) locker room, it’s not even funny.”
