From time to time, Mile High Buzz will dip into the lesser-followed teams, such as the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League.
↵The team's official website is running a summer series on how individual players keep in shape during the season. The first profile is on defender Chris McKay, and he admits what his personal kryptonite is:
↵↵↵“As a firefighter there are tons of desserts and sweets lying around the [fire] hall. I have a mean sweet tooth and I can usually pass by something once or twice staying strong. As the shift goes on, my will begins to fade and I usually end up diving in. My ultimate kryptonite is ice cream and since it is a staple at the [fire] hall, more often than not I end up with a tub and a spoon.”

While not a big follower of the Mammoth, summer series like these helps us get to know the players and make me want to follow the team closely. Look for more coverage of the Mammoth over the summer as we approach the new season.
