Recovering from throat and neck cancer won’t keep George Karl from working with the Nuggets this offseason. From Benjamin Hochman of the the Denver Post:
↵↵↵“I’m more active, I walk more, my mouth is getting better, I talk more and am more sarcastic to my staff — and Duke players,” said Karl, who announced in February that he had cancer. “I’m feeling very good; every week is a little better. I’ve been in the office a lot, energy is good, draft has got me excited, team’s got me excited. It’s time to get better.”

If he and the Nuggets jump back into the draft with a trade, Karl will have much more to be excited about as the news season approaches. But for now, having Karl back to full health is an even better thing.
