Huston Street Ready To Return To Majors; Gets Ejected From Minor League Game

The good news for Huston Street is that he's ready for a return to the majors, likely tomorrow for the series against the Red Sox. However, while still on rehab assignment, Street was thrown out of Saturday's game for arguing the strike zone. According to Jim Armstrong, Street said:

"I still threw 15 out of 24 pitches for strikes, even with the strike zone. I felt like I got squeezed and I mentioned that to him. I made a point not to use profanity. Sometimes that’s just part of the game. You’re men and you argue. It’s a game. It’s like kids out in the backyard."

Armstrong also reports that Street will be eased back into the bullpen, so he won't be closing games immediately. However, another bad outing by Corpas and manager Jim Tracy may re-think that.

Juan Rincon is likely to be designated for assignment again to make room for Street on the active roster.
