Chargers Vs. Broncos: Champ Bailey Misses Second Day Of Practice, Knowshon Moreno Returns

Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey missed his second day of practice on Thursday after injuring his heel in Sunday's victory over the Houston Texans. While two days of missed practice would likely mean most other players would be out for the game, Bailey remains a game-time decision. If he is unable to go, Bailey will likely have played his last game in a Broncos uniform. He will become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.

Running back Knowshon Moreno returned to practice today, but only with limited participation. He received some injured ribs two weeks ago and was knocked out of last Sunday's game. Correll Buckhalter turned hot in the game, which left Moreno on the bench. Even if he is ready to go on Sunday, Moreno may not see the field much if Buckhalter is still in the zone. And a hit to the ribs could sideline Moreno once again.

Rookie receiver Demaryius Thomas has had full participation in practice this week and should return after a five-game absence. The Broncos will look for him to be a big contributor in 2011.

Kyle Orton is also limited with a rib injury. Will he the third quarterback again this weekend?
