NFL mock drafts are going to come fast and furious over the next several months, so stay tuned for a look at some of the more well-known places that produce them. Today, we will look at SB Nation's Mocking the Draft, which recently turned out a quick top 10 mock draft.
Until we learn of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck's decision to enter the draft or return to school, the Carolina Panthers would take him with the first overall pick, which is where this mock has him going. At No. 2, the Denver Broncos select Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley to beef up a defensive line that is in need of help.
Among other players the Broncos could select with the second overall pick include Clemson DE Da'Quan Bowers (No. 4 to the Bills), LSU CB Patrick Peterson (No. 7 to the Cowboys) and Nebraska CB Prince Amukamara (No. 8 to the Texans).
In the middle of the top 10, the mock draft has the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers both selecting quarterbacks. The Cardinals, who eventually went to rookie John Skelton toward the end of the season, could use a big quarterback like Arkansas' Ryan Mallett. He plays Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl in the New Year. The 49ers have the dueling Smiths, Alex and Troy, but Auburn QB Cam Newton might be too tempting to pass up.
