The inaugural New Era PInstripe Bowl will not be covered in snow as the New York area was pounded with snow the past couple of days. The weather will be in the mid-30's and full of sun. Syracuse if making their first bowl appearance since playing in the 2004 Champs Sports Bowl where they lost to Georgia Tech.

These two teams have met before way back in the 1997 Fiesta Bowl and in the 2001 Insight.com Bowl here is visual evidence of the Fiesta Bowl game:

Kansas State brought back Bill Snyder to coach in this game? Not really, but Snyder was the architect of making Kansas State a football power as he lead Kansas State to 11 straight bowl games and had four seasons of 11 wins prior to his first retirement.

Neither of the two schools are all that impressive and are really the same team and Vegas agrees since the game is a pick'em.

Now onto the predictions for the game.

CBS Sports - Three take Syracuse with two taking Kansas State.

USA Today- Seven of eight take Kansas State.

Fanhouse - Brett McMurphy makes his picks Kansas State.

The Pinstripe Bowl kicks off at Yankee Stadium at 1:20 p.m. (MT) on ESPN.
