College Football Awards: Nate Solder, Jimmy Smith Named Coaches All Big-12

The Big 12 conference has released it's all conference team as voted on by the coaches and two Buffaloes were named to the first team in Colorado's final season before leaving for the Pac-12. Senior offensive lineman Nate Solder and Senior cornerback Jimmy Smith were both named to the first team. No Buffaloes were named to the second team.

Honorable mentions were received for B.J. Beatty, Jalil Brown, Ryan Deehan, Josh Hartigan, Scotty McKnight, Ryan Miller, Will Pericak, and Paul Richardson for offensive freshman of the year.

Who is the biggest snub here? Rodney Stewart in a big, big way. The guy rushed for 1318 yards this season, which was good enough for third in the conference and 12th in the nation. He was the only consistent offensive threat that the Buffaloes had this year. Roy Helu Jr, finished with 1,120 yards and only didn't top 110 yards outside of his monster game against Missouri.

Hopefully the AP vote doesn't screw up their ballot this bad.
