The Denver Nuggets enter the week riding a four-game winning streak, and looking at their upcoming schedule there is no reason to believe the streak won't extend into next week.
This week the Pepsi Center will host three teams with a collective record of 16-35 in the 6-10 Milwaukee Bucks, 3-15 Los Angeles Clippers and 7-10 Memphis Grizzlies.
While the Nuggets (10-6) are hoping that a few days off will help Carmelo Anthony recover from an illness, they are also hoping the down time won't cool off J.R. Smith, who scored 30 in a 138-133 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
The Milwaukee Bucks will visit Chauncey Billups, Arron Afflalo and the Nuggets on Wed., Dec. 1, led by second year pro Brandon Jennings and his 17.8 points per game. Big man, and former No. 1 draft pick, Andrew Bogut leads the Bucks in rebounding with 10.9 rpg.
Following a day off, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Pepsi Center on Fri., Dec. 3. Eric Gordon leads the Clippers in scoring with 24.3 ppg, but Rookie of the Year front-runner Griffin, and his team high 11.6 rpg, are what everyone will be watching. If you do watch the game, make sure the floor beneath you is clean, because Griffin will make your jaw drop at least once during the game.
The week ends for the Birdman, Chris Andersen, and Nene on Sun., Dec. 4, when the Nuggets take on Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley and the rest of the Memphis Grizzlies.
