SB Nation’s panel of hockey bloggers have ranked the NHL’s teams so far this season, and the Colorado Avalanche come in fourth among Western Conference teams.
↵While the placing may be sound, it’s becoming far more difficult to justify the team ranked directly above Colorado. While the Chicago Blackhawks may be the defending champions, it’s becoming obvious they are not the same team as last season. (The Blackhawks are placed higher in these Power Rankings than they are in their own division.).
↵It’s okay, Avalanche, keep dominating “better” teams like you did last week and you’ll get plenty of respect in future weeks.
