The Duke Blue Devils and Michigan State Spartans again ruled the top of the latest NCAA basketball rankings.
In the AP Top 25 the Blue Devils received 58 of the 65 first place votes, while the Spartans received six. The Kansas State Wildcats, who dropped from third to fourth, received the other nod as the best team in the country. The Coaches Poll was similar in that Duke received 29 if the 31 first place votes, while Sparty saw 2 votes.
After a dominating performance against the Florida Gators in Gainesville, the Ohio State Buckeyes flipped spots with K-State, moving up from fourth to third n both polls.
The biggest move of the week was by the Minnesota Golden Gophers, who jumped from outside the poll to 15 in the AP and 17 in the Coaches.
No local teams even received a vote, but five of the Colorado Buffaloes conference-mates did make the list. Those five were:
11/12 Missouri Tigers
12/13 Baylor Bears
20/21 Texas Longhorns
Neither the Air Force Falcons nor the Colorado St. Rams made the list, but two of their Mountain West Conference brethren made the AP list.
18/22 San Diego St. Aztecs
23/NR BYU Cougars
