College Football Rankings, Week 10: Mountain West Conference Keeps TCU, Utah In Top 10 Of AP Top 25 Poll

While the Air Force Falcons led a spirited comeback on Saturday night against the Utah Utes, the team ultimately fell short, losing 28-23. A 5-4 record might not look that great on the surface, but look at who the Falcons lost to in three of those four games: Oklahoma, TCU and Utah. All three are currently ranked in the AP Top 25 poll. And the fourth loss came against the San Diego State Aztecs, who received nine points in the latest voting.

The AP No. 4 TCU Horned Frogs (9-0) downed the Falcons in a 38-7 loss two weeks ago, which is embarrassing. However, TCU averages around 40 points a game, so this wasn't unexpected. The undefeated AP No. 6 Utah Utes moved up two spots after defeating Air Force and watching Michigan State and Missouri lose their first games of the season. The AP No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners stayed put in the standings after demolishing the Colorado Buffaloes, 43-10, on Saturday night. If one believes in quality losses, those to Utah and Oklahoma would certainly count in that category.

The Falcons don't play any more ranked teams the rest of the regular season, and will visit Army this weekend.
