Carmelo Anthony And The Nuggets Are Ready For The Utah Jazz

Tonight the Denver Nuggets will start the season against the Utah Jazz for the third year in a row. What makes this year different than the last two is the fact that the Jazz eliminated the Nuggets from the playoffs last year, sending them home in six games.

Carmelo Anthony is glad that the NBA schedule makers matched the Nuggets up with they last team they played in 2010 and he plans on making the most of the opportunity.

"I think the NBA was reading my mind. They granted my wish," Anthony said. "I wanted Utah first game. I know it's going to be a lot of excitement. They got us in the playoffs last year. We kept that in mind.

"It's been a long summer as a team and me just thinking about that. We're ready to get back out there and start a new season."

Nuggets coach George Karl, who was unable to coach the team in their playoff loss, feels the same way.

"It's time to prove to the world that we're OK, and we're going to be a good team," Karl said. "They feel we took a step back last year and ready to prove that we're better than we were last year, and we will be better than we were last year, in my opinion."

After tonight we can finally be done with all of the nonsense endured over the offseason, and extract some good old-fashioned revenge.
