College Football Rankings, Week 9: Air Force Falcons Still One Game Away From Being Bowl-Eligible

After a crushing loss to the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday, the Air Force Falcons fell to 5-3 on the season. The Falcons failed to receive any votes in the AP Top 25 vote, losing the one vote they had last week. The TCU Horned Frogs stayed at no. 4 this week in the AP poll, while the Oklahoma Sooners (BCS no. 1) tumbled from no. 3 to no. 11 after a loss to the Missouri Tigers.

Air Force will take on the Utah Utes, who crushed the Colorado State Rams on Saturday. Utah is now 7-0 on the season and moved up one spot to no. 8 in the AP Poll.

To become bowl eligible the Falcons will need to win two more games. It will be a tall order to beat Utah this coming weekend, but with Army, New Mexico and UNLV left on the schedule the Falcons should reach bowl eligibility.
