Kyle Ringo has reported that Buffaloes running back Brian Lockridge will under go season ending surgery after sustaining an injury against Missouri.
In order to find some depth at the running back position after the injury to Lockridge and Justin Torres leaving the program, sophomore wide receiver Will Jefferson will be moving to running back, a position that he played in high school. True freshman running back Tony Jones will be the emergency running back if needed.
Dan Hawkins says Brian Lockridge will undergo season-ending surgery and wide receiver Will Jefferson is moving to tailback
Also noted in Dan Hawkins' press conference today was the news that safety Anthony Perkins is expected to miss the rest of the season, further weakening an already thin secondary. Expected to compete for the job are Jered Bell, Terrel Smith, Deji Olatoye and Arthur Jaffee.
Finally, Hawkins said that walk-on kicker Marcus Kirkwood will attempt the first field goal or extra point this weekend against Baylor.
