The 2012 Summer Olympics concluded Sunday, and the United States leaves London with more medals than any other country. The USA won 104 medals, and several local athletes chipped in to that total.

The most notable of those local athletes was swimmer Missy Franklin, who won four golds and a bronze. There was also Taylor Ritzel, who won gold in rowing, and Kristin Armstrong, who won a gold in cycling.

London Olympics Medal Count 2012: USA Finishes With 104 Medals

After getting two more gold medals on Sunday, the United States finishes the 2012 London Olympics with 104 total medals, easily the highest figure of any nation. China finishes its time in Great Britain with 87 total medals, the best performance ever for the Chinese away from home soil.

Russia finishes a close third in total medal count after adding four more on Sunday, a nice performance for the nation. Host nation Great Britain had the third-most gold medals of any nation, though, for the best Olympic performance by the nation in over a century.

Olympics Closing Ceremony: TV Coverage, Streaming, Live Updates And More

After two weeks of hearing viewers complain about its broadcast of the London Olympics, NBC has decided to live-stream the Closing Ceremony on Sunday afternoon for American viewers. Beginning at 4 p.m. ET, NBC will have live coverage of the event from London over at its official website, for those that are interested.

The decision presumably comes after a major backlash from viewers that were unable to watch the Opening Ceremony live from London. NBC opted to broadcast that event on tape-delay without any sort of live-streaming option, much to the ire of viewers across the nation.

Now, viewers won't be put in such an unfortunate situation, as they can simply mosey on over to NBC's website to get the live feed. Those that prefer to watch the event on television still have that option, though, as NBC will be broadcasting the ceremony on tape-delay across each time zone if you want to catch the star-studded event that way.

Men's 50km Racewalk Final: Sergey Kirdyapkin Wins Gold; John Nunn Finishes 43rd

Russia's Sergey Kirdyapkin took gold in the men's 50 kilometer racewalk final at the Summer Olympics on Saturday with a final time of 3:35:59, which stands as a new Olympic record.

The United States' John Nunn, who is from Durango, CO, finished in 43rd place with a time of 4:03:28. The time was a personal best for Nunn. He was the only athlete from the U.S. in the final.

Russia Vs. Australia Women's Basketball Final Score: Australia Takes Bronze With 83-74 Win

Becky Hammon and the Russian women's basketball team came up short in the bronze medal game on Saturday, losing 83-74 to Australia.

Russia trailed by eight at halftime, and the deficit was 14 at the start of the fourth quarter, but they did manage to battle back with a good effort at the offensive end in the final period. Australia hit enough baskets down the stretch to keep Russia at arm's length, though, and the Australians held on to win the bronze medal.

Hammon led all Russian scorers with 19 points. As a team, Russia shot just 37.1 percent from the field.

Australia's Lauren Jackson led all scorers with 25 points.

London Olympics Medal Count 2012: USA Increases Medal Total To 94

The United States won four medals in competition on Friday and increased their lead on China in the 2012 London Olympics medal count. The U.S. has now earned 94 medals in total -- 41 gold, 26 silver and 27 bronze. China has won 81 medals, 37 of which are gold. Russia, Great Britain and Germany round out the top five.

Spain Vs. Russia Final Score: Spain Advances To Gold Medal Game With 67-59 Victory

After looking dead at halftime, the Spanish team mounted a furious second-half comeback for a 67-59 victory over Russia and a shot at gold on Sunday. Spain must wait for the outcome of the Team USA-Argentina on Friday afternoon to learn their opponent.

Spain entered halftime with in an 11-point deficit, 31-20, but that was erased at the close of the third quarter, which ended in a 46-46 tie. Spain had outscored Russia, 26-15, to completely turn the tenor of the game. The final quarter was another clear victory for Spain, outscoring Russia by eight points, 21-13.

Pau Gasol led Spain with 16 points and 12 rebounds while his brother Marc chipped in 11 points and four rebounds. Former Nuggets forward Rudy Fernandez also dropped in 11 points. Jose Calderon added 14 points.

Nuggets center Timofey Mozgov played just 14 minutes for Russia and scored four points. He and his teammates play the loser of USA-Argentina in the bronze medal game.

2012 Olympic Basketball, Spain Vs. Russia Score Update: Russia Leads 31-20 At Halftime

The semifinal men's basketball matchup between Spain and Russia has generated some early surprises in the first half of play, and after two quarters of play Russia leads 31-20. They jumped out to an early 27-14 lead thanks to some aggressive play and poor offensive execution by their Spanish opponents. Sergey Monya leads all scorers with nine points on 3-3 shooting from the field, and Russia has built up a nice lead despite poor offensive starts from Andrei Kirilenko (1-8 FGs, two points, five rebounds and two blocks) and Timofey Mozgov (1-4 FGs, two points).

Pau Gasol (2-5 FGs, seven points and eight rebounds) is the only Spanish player with more than three points at the half.

The winner of the semifinal matchup between Spain and Russia will take on the winner of the other semifinal game between Team USA Basketball and Argentina in the gold medal match set for August 12.
