The Rockies' all-star shortstop won't return to the field for either of team's two final regular season games on the road against the Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday or Wednesday, according to the Denver Post. He played in an instructional league game on Monday, playing six innings and hitting a homer. But the team will hold him out of any real action.
Tulowitzki was hitting .287 with 8 homers and 27 RBIs before going down with a groin injury May 30. He was scheduled to return to the team in mid-September but suffered setbacks in his rehab assignments.
The report goes on to mention that teams could inquire about trading for the two-time all-star, but the Rockies will likely hold on to the 27-year-old star.
