Warriors vs. Nuggets final score: Denver comes from behind to defeat Golden State, 102-91

The Nuggets had a big third quarter en route to their victory over the Warriors on Friday night.

The Denver Nuggets had an excellent second half as they defeated the Golden State Warriors Friday night, 102-91. The Nuggets started out the third quarter by going on a 15-0 run, and that scoring spurt put Denver up for good at 62-53.

In the fourth quarter, the Nuggets had another scoring run where they scored nine straight points, and two times during the final period, Denver led by 17 points.

Denver was able to win this game despite making just 5 of 19 shots from beyond the arc and shooting just 56 percent from the free throw line. The Nuggets defense did a good job of holding the Warriors to only 43 percent from the field. Golden State tried to stay in the game as they made 7 of 17 shots from three-point range.

Denver had two players score over 20 points: Andre Iguodala led the team with 29, and Danilo Gallinari helped out with 20. Golden State was led in scoring by David Lee, who had 21 points.
