The Nuggets were led by second-year guard Jordan Hamilton in the losing effort.
The Denver Nuggets lost, 88-72, to the Phoenix Suns Friday night, wrapping up their preseason schedule with a record of 3-4. The Nuggets were led by shooting guard Jordan Hamilton, who added 15 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. The Nuggets were unable to match the Suns, who were led by Michael Beasley's 29 points and 10 rebounds.
Denver's Wilson Chandler, who has been dealing with a hip injury and underwent dental surgery earlier in the week, started for the Nuggets in a bit of a surprise move. It was originally thought that Chandler would be shut down for the remainder of the preseason. Chandler struggled from the floor, tallying only 2 points on 1-6 shooting.
Denver point guards Ty Lawson and Andre Miller were held to a combined 4 points, but Miller did contribute 9 assists, 4 steals and 4 rebounds. The Nuggets were without All-Star Andre Iguodala and small forward Danilo Gallinari.
The Nuggets open the regular season in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
