Nuggets get double-digit output from six players, but cannot overcome dominant Blake Griffin performance.
The Denver Nuggets were unable to recover from a six-point first-half deficit against the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday night, losing by a score of 106-94 in NBA preseason action. The Nuggets were outscored, 32-20, in the third quarter, providing the Clippers with the margin of victory.
Denver's loss obscures a solid all-around performance, with six Nuggets scoring in double figures. Denver was led by center Kosta Koufos, who put up 12 points and 10 rebounds. Andre Iguodala scored 11 points and added seven assists. Forward Corey Brewer came off the bench to pour in 15 points, and center JaVale McGee had 13 points and nine rebounds.
Denver travels to Phoenix Friday to play its final preseason game. Thursday's game was the final preseason contest for the Clippers, who open the NBA regular season Wednesday against Memphis.
