The defensive woes of the Northern Colorado Bears continued in their last game against Montana, where they put up some decent offense and special teams numbers, but couldn't catch up in the end. UNC lost that game 40-17, the fourth time in five games that the Bears have given up 40 or more points this season.
They'll have their work cut out for them against the Cal Poly Mustangs, a team that has won five straight games to open the 2012 season. They have yet to score fewer than 24 points in any of their wins, and have scored over 40 points twice.
Northern Colorado will be seeking only their second win of the season. Their only win to this point was a 40-3 slaughtering of Colorado Mesa University in their second game.
The game will be at Alex G. Spanos Stadium at 7:05 p.m. MT. It will be televised on Big Sky TV.
