Jason Zucker Leaves Denver Pioneers, Signs With Minnesota Wild

Stay connected for news and updates

After losing junior Drew Shore to the Florida Panthers on Monday, the Denver Pioneers saw another star player leave for the NHL. Sophomore Jason Zucker signed an entry-level contract with the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday afternoon.

Zucker joined the Wild organization as a 20120 NHL Draft pick in the second round. He was second on the Pioneers this season with 46 points and was tied for the team lead in goals with 22 (Drew Shore had just as many, but picked up 53 total points).

The Wild have one of the season's worst offenses this season and will need young talents such as Zucker to change that in the coming seasons.
