The Denver Pioneers enter halftime against the Ohio St. Buckeyes with a 5-3 lead, but it took a couple of late goal for that to happen. With just 61 seconds left on the clock, Cameron Flint scored his first goal of the game; Eric Law made it a two-goal lead with just five seconds left on the clock.
Denver held a 3-2 lead entering the second quarter as a result of goals by Jeremy Noble, Wes Berg and Mark Matthews in the first quarter. However, the offense stagnated for most of the second quarter, unable to reach the aggressive level expected of them.
Ohio State's Logan Schuss tied the game at three during the second quarter, netting his second goal of the game. Dominique Alexander had the other goal for the Buckeyes.
Denver committed six turnovers in the first half and split the faceoffs with Ohio State, 5-5.
