The Denver Pioneers are now on a three-game winning streak following Friday night's 3-0 victory over the Wisconsin Badgers. Luke Salazar picked up the game-winning goal when he netted his eight goal of the season at 8:22 in the second period.
Jason Zucker, who missed the second game against Minnesota last week following an upper body hit, was back on the ice for this game and scored his 16th goal of the season at 7:46 in the third period. Nick Shore added an empty net goal at 19:29 to make it a 3-0 score. He put it at the back of the net on a 130-foot shot.
Sam Brittain improved to 4-1-0 since his return from offseason surgery back in June. He stopped all 28 shots that he faced, picking up his second career shutout.
The Pioneers (18-9-4) and Badgers (12-5-2) will finish out this WCHA series on Saturday at 6:07 p.m.
