The Pioneers look to bounce back after a tough loss to in-state rival Colorado State.
The Denver Pioneers are on the road for only the second time this season as they travel to play the undefeated Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Tuesday night in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Denver hopes to bounce back from a disappointing performance against the Colorado State Rams last Wednesday. The Pioneers fell to the Rams, 60-53, while shooting a woeful 29.5% from the floor and 5-of-29 from the three-point line. Chase Hallam and Royce O'Neale were their usual selves, scoring 19 and 16 a piece, but leading scorer Chris Udofia scored just two points in the loss.
Southern Miss is 5-0 on the young season, including an overtime road win over the Georgia Bulldogs on Nov. 15. The Golden Eagles shoot 48% as a team, and are led in scoring by forward Dwayne Davis. The senior Davis scores 15 points per game while pulling down five rebounds per contest and shooting 44% from the three-point line.
Date/Time: Tues., Nov. 27, 6 p.m. MT
TV: None
Odds: Southern Miss is favored by 6 points
