Denver and Northern Colorado meet for the 115th time.

En route to a strong 6-2 start to the regular season, the Denver Pioneers have been deadly from all over the floor: they rank in the nation's top 25 in two-point field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage and free throw percentage. Leading the way is senior guard Brian Stafford, who is averaging 14.8 points per game and has made an impressive 20 of 39 three-point attempts.

Five other Pioneers players have attempted at least 19 three-pointers this season, so this is a team that is not shy about firing away from beyond the arc. They present an interesting challenge to a Northern Colorado defense that generally likes to lure opponents into a lot of three-point shots.

Paul Garnica paces the Bears with 14.0 points per game, and like Stafford, he has been outstanding from beyond the arc (20-36).
