The college basketball schedule for Colorado is rather slim until the weekend, but there is an in-state game worth attention as the Denver Pioneers square off against the Northern Colorado Bears on Wednesday.
The Pioneers come into Wednesday's contest fresh off their hart-breaking 78-80 overtime loss to the Iona Gaels. With the Sun Belt Conference yet to begin conference play, Denver sits in a virtual tie with all 12 other teams, but their 6-2 record currently puts them at second best in the conference -- and the top team in the West Division.
The Northern Colorado Bears enter the game hoping to build some consistency. After losing their first four games, Northern Colorado has won 3 of their last 4, pushing them to a serviceable 3-5 record.
Here are the full schedules for this week (Monday, Dec. 12 - Friday, Dec. 16):
Denver Pioneers (6-2)
Air Force Falcons (4-2)
Colorado Buffaloes (4-4)
Colorado St. Rams (5-4)
