Colorado College Hockey Visits Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks

The Colorado College Tigers are sitting nicely in the polls at No. 2 following the Denver Pioneers' drop from that position to No. 8. The Tigers defeated Rennselaer, 4-1, in both games last weekend. Rylan and Jaden Schwartz combined for four goals in that series, with three scored by Rylan.

The Schwartz brothers lead this team offensively with Rylan leading the team with six goals and Jaden popping in three goals and three assists. Scott Winkler is right there with the Schwartz brothers with one goal and five assists.

Tigers goalie Joe Howe has been outstanding in net so far with just three goals allowed on 83 shots (0.90 GAA). Howe is 4-0-0 for the undefeated Tigers.

The 4-4 Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks are actually 3-1 in conference play. Their first WCHA came last Saturday against the Wisconsin Badgers in a 6-3 decision. Terry Broadhurst leads the Mavericks with seven goals, but his 11 points are second to Matt White's 12 (three goals, nine assists). Goalie John Faulkner has allowed 15 goals on 125 shots, good for an .877 save percentage and a 2.70 GAA.

The puck drops at 6:35 p.m. MT on Friday and at 6:00 p.m. MT on Saturday.
