NBA Mock Draft 2012: Damian Lillard A Top-10 Pick In Ziller's Newest Mock

Stay connected for news and updates

The fate of Weber State point guard Damian Lillard is one of the most interesting storylines heading into the 2012 NBA Draft. Lillard is a lock to be selected in the first round, but his range is anywhere from the No. 6 overall pick to potentially outside the lottery. He may be the first point guard taken, or he could be something like the third point guard taken.

SBNation's Tom Ziller, though, is bullish on Lillard's draft prospects. In his most recent 2012 mock draft, Ziller sees Lillard reaching his ceiling at the No. 6 overall pick, which is held by the Portland Trail Blazers. The Blazers are widely seen as needing a young point guard, and they may decide to pull the trigger on Lillard at No. 6. If the Blazers pass on Lillard at that spot, he may be in play for them when they pick again at No. 11 overall.
