Weber State standout Damian Lillard is in a battle right now with North Carolina's Kendall Marshall to see who will be the first point guard selected in the 2012 NBA Draft. A new mock by Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports gives the edge to Lillard. Goodman has Lillard projected to go No. 10 to the New Orleans Hornets, one spot ahead of Marshall, who's predicted to go No. 11 to the Portland Trail Blazers.
The No. 10 pick will of course be the Hornets' second of the first round. New Orleans won the rights to Kentucky's Anthony Davis when it won the draft lottery. Many sites have been projecting the Hornets to grab one of the two top point guards come draft day.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 24.5 points and five assists as a junior last season for the Wildcats.
