2012 NBA Mock Draft: Could Moe Harkless Be Nuggets' Choice At No. 20?

The Denver Nuggets are biding their time now that they are out of the 2012 NBA Playoffs, but that just means intense preparation for the 2012 NBA Draft must be taking place. The Nuggets have the No. 20 overall pick and really don't have any particular area they should target, so taking the best player available will likely be the route the team takes, provided the pick is kept. Over at College Hoops Journal, the Nuggets are projected for St. John's Red Storm forward Moe Harkless:

Harkless is more "raw" compared to [Jeffrey] Taylor, but they share the same qualities. Harkless needs time to develop, but he’ll flourish in the Nuggets’ up-tempo offense.

As a freshman for the Red Storm, Harkless averaged 15.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. He is 6 feet 8 and 208 pounds and has played both guard and forward. The Nuggets have plenty players at both positions with Danilo Gallinari, Arron Afflalo, Corey Brewer and Jordan Hamilton there, but as a long-term development project he could be worth it.
