Lakers Vs. Nuggets Score Update: Denver Scores First 13 Points, Leads 28-20 After First Quarter

If one of the Denver Nuggets' goals for Game 6 was to get off to a strong start, they certainly met it on Thursday night. Through one quarter, the Nuggets are leading 30-20 against the Los Angeles Lakers after jumping out to a double-digit lead before L.A. could even score a single point.

Over the first three-plus minutes of the game, the Nuggets dominated the Lakers, taking a 13-0 lead following this huge slam dunk from forward Kenneth Faried:

Denver has led by as many as 15 in the period, with the occasionally impressive play of Kobe Bryant basically being the only thing keeping the Lakers in the game at this point. Bryant has ten points on 4-for-8 shooting so far.

Through one quarter, the Nuggets are shooting 12-for-25 from the the field, but what's truly impressive is that they've knocked down 5-of-7 attempts from three-point range. Ty Lawson has been simply stunning, with a 4-for-4 performance from long range leading to 15 first quarter points.
