Nuggets Vs. Suns Score Update: Teams Tied at 52 After Half

In one of their biggest games to-date, the Denver Nuggets went into halftime on Friday night tied 52-52 with the Phoenix Suns as both teams battle for the playoffs in the cutthroat Western Conference. The Nuggets shot a dismal 38% in the half, including 4-12 from three, but their defense was able to force the Suns into nine first half turnovers, and Denver used those extra possessions to their advantage in scraping out a first half draw.

Once again the Nuggets were worked over on the glass, giving up 27 rebounds to the Suns while only grabbing 19 for themselves. JaVale McGee and Al Harrington pulled down one combined rebound in 23 minutes while lightweight three-point hawk Channing Frye snatched eight boards by himself in only 16 minutes of play.

Arron Aflalo led the Nuggets with 17 points on 6-11 shooting, with Harrington following him with 12 points. The Suns shot 48% from the field and 57% from three, and if the Nuggets can't continue to cause turnovers, they might once again find themselves in the loss column.
