The Denver Nuggets took a 21 point lead into halftime at the Pepsi Center Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but a third quarter run by Minnesota has turned a blowout into an interesting game with one quarter remaining. The Timberwolves outscored Denver 33-21 in the third quarter, and now the Nuggets' lead is at 89-80.
Four Denver starters have already reached double-digits in scoring, led by rookie forward Kenneth Faried. Faried has 14 points and 11 rebounds on 5-of-9 shooting. Ty Lawson has 18 pionts and seven assists on 8-of-13 shooting from the field. Arron Afflalo has 15 points for Denver.
Rookie forward Derrick Williams has keyed the Minnesota comeback. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 draft, Williams has 19 points and six rebounds after three quarters. Anthony Randolph has 18 points and five rebounds off the bench for the T-Wolves.
