Nene Trade: Nuggets Receive Ronny Turiaf From Wizards As Part Of Deal

Stay connected for news and updates

The Denver Nuggets have traded Nene is a three-team deal involving the Los Angeles Clippers and the Washington Wizards, receiving in return JaVale McGee. Later word is that the Nuggets have also received Ronny Turiaf from the Wizards, too:

Turiaf has been out since Jan. 1 due to a broken hand, so he isn't more than a throw in to help balance out the contracts. Turiaf's 2012 contract has him making $4.36 million before entering free agency this summer. He is unlikely to receive many minutes, if any at all.

The Nuggets are reportedly victims of buyer's remorse with the five-year, $67 million contract the two sides agreed to in Denver, reports CBS Sports' Ken Berger. Nene has averaged 13.4 points and 7.4 rebounds this season while dealing with injuries.
