NBA All-Star Roster: League To Announce Rosters Thursday Night

The NBA is prepared to announce the 2011-12 All-Star rosters Thursday night at 7 p.m. EST on a TNT pre-game special. The Nuggets are hoping to have two representatives in the upcoming NBA All-Star game, with both C Nene and F Danilo Gallinari among the top vote recipients in the All-Star voting.

Gallinari recently had a severe ankle sprain, however, an injury likely to keep him out of action for at least a month. NBA analyst Tom Ziller recently named Gallinari as a possible wild card for getting into the All-Star Game, but the his injury would likely remove him from the rosters automatically even if he is given the honor.

Ziller also said Nuggets center Nene holds an inside track as a top injury replacement candidate. Nene was most recently in fourth place among the Western Conference centers with 144,066 votes.
