Ty Lawson Injury: Nuggets Guard Has Left Ankle Sprain, Will Be Day-To-Day

The Denver Nuggets can't shake the injury bug of late. In Monday's thrilling (and harrowing) overtime victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Nuggets lost Ty Lawson to a left ankle sprain, one that will have him listed as day-to-day. This is already the third injury for Lawson this season, and the second to his left ankle. He missed some time at the end of January due to that issue. His right foot bothered him during the start of the season in January.

If Lawson is unable to play over the next game or two, Andre Miller -- who was 0-for-8 from the field and ejected on Monday night -- would draw the start while giving way to rookie Julyan Stone for some more minutes in the back court

The Nuggets are already without starters Nene and Danilo Gallinari -- both likely to return some time after the All-Star Break -- and reserve Rudy Fernandez is dealing with a back issue, as well. Timofey Mozgov just came back from his own ankle injury, suffered earlier in the month in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
