NBA Trade Rumors: Chris Andersen On Trading Block, According To Report

It appears the Nuggets are willing to part ways with veteran forward Chris Andersen.

Feb 17, 2012 - The Denver Nuggets are looking to shop reserve forward Chris Andersen, according to a report from ESPN's Marc Stein. Andersen has played in 22 games this season, starting one, and averages 5.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per contest.

According to Stein, Andersen became expendable when the Denver Nuggets signed Kosta Koufos to a three-year contract extension.

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com this week that Nuggets center Chris Andersen is also available, with Denver having just signed Kosta Koufos to an unexpected three-year contract extension worth $9 million to lock him into a frontcourt rotation headlined by Nene and Timofey Mozgov.

Andersen is in his 10th NBA season, seven of which have been spent in Denver.
