Manu Ginobili Injury: Spurs Guard Breaks Hand, Will Miss Saturday's Game Against Nuggets And More

Manu Ginobili suffered a broken bone in his left hand on Monday night. He will miss Saturday's game against the Denver Nuggets and possibly as many as six weeks.

The Denver Nuggets have games against the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Hornets during the week before they face the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday on the road, but the team already knows that they won't have to deal with guard Manu Ginobili. He broke a bone in his left (shooting) hand in the closing minutes of Monday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, reports the Express-News.

While there is no official word on how long Ginobili will be out, Spurs assistant coach Don Newman expects the guard to miss 4-6 weeks. Second-year guard James Anderson, selected 20th overall in the 2010 NBA Draft, will start in Ginobili's place.

In 27 career games, Ginobili has averaged 14.4 points, 5.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds against the Nuggets.
