Despite a recent six-game winning streak over the last two weeks, the Denver Nuggets haven't gotten any closer to overtaking the Oklahoma City Thunder. Rather, the Nuggets actually lost half of a game this week since the Oklahoma City Thunder are on a four-game winning streak.
The Nuggets picked up wins over the Sacramento Kings and the Toronto Raptors over the last week, as they should have. The Kings and the Raptors are both 6-14 on this last Sunday of January. But things will be tougher on Sunday with the arrival of the Los Angeles Clippers in the Mile High City. The Nuggets are getting their first taste of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin together on the court. This game will also mark the return of Chauncey Billups to Denver for the first time since he was traded with Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks last February.
A seven-game winning streak is on the line Sunday at the Pepsi Center. Will the Nuggets move back to 1.5 games behind the Thunder?
