Nuggets Vs. Wizards Score Update: Washington Leads 37-27 After 1st Quarter

The Denver Nuggets are struggling a bit without Nene Hilario in the lineup, primarily at the defensive end, and trail the Washington Wizards 37-27 after one quarter of play. Washington hit 16 of 26 (.615) field goal attempts in the quarter, including 5-of-7 from downtown. Nick Young scored 17 points on 7-11 shooting, and Chris Singleton added eight points.

Danilo Gallinari has 11 points for the Nuggets, who shot a respectable 52.6% in the period but trail by double digits anyway. Timofey Mozgov added six points.

The Nuggets will need to improve on the glass in the second quarter to help get themselves back into this game.
