The Denver Nuggets head into the weekend winners of two straight and seven of 10 and they have a chance to keep the momentum rolling against a pair of sub-.500 teams in the Washington Wizards and New York Knicks.
Denver's full schedule is here, and this is what the weekend ahead looks like:
Jan. 20: at Washington Wizards (5:00 p.m. MT, Altitude)
The Wizards have the worst record in the Eastern Conference (2-12) but they are coming off a win that will give them a little confidence boost heading into Friday night. John Wall leads the Wizards with about 16 points and seven assists per game.
Jan. 21: at New York Knicks (5:30 p.m. MT, Altitude)
Denver gets its first and only shot at former Nugget Carmelo Anthony, who leads the Knicks in scoring with 25 points per game. Beyond Anthony, Amare Stoudamire is averaging over 18 points per game, while Tyson Chandler and Iman Shumpert are also in double figures.
